Former West Virginia University pitcher Ryan Bergert was perfect Thursday. The right-hander threw six perfect, shutout innings as part of his San Antonio Missions’ combined no-hitter. Bergert, a 2021 draft pick out of WVU, did not allow a runner to reach base during his six innings on the mound.

Taylor (Pa.) Riverside 2026 defensive lineman Tavian Branch has a handful of power four offers at this point in his recruitment including one from West Virginia. Branch, 6-foot-4, 300-pounds, had been in contact with the Mountaineers for a little over a month with defensive line coach AJ Jackson and assistant line coach Jaysen Thompson leading the charge.
'State-of-the-art' solar microgrid to power industrial plant: 'Driving economic revitalization ... backed by clean energy'
A new titanium plant in West Virginia is making waves in the clean energy space, thanks to its use of solar power to run. According to Canary Media, the "state-of-the-art" Timet plant in Ravenswood, West Virginia, could be the first industrial plant to run mostly on renewable energy, courtesy of the solar panels and battery storage microgrid being built nearby by BHE Renewables.
