SAN FRANCISCO ( KRON ) — BART service is recovering after problems earlier Wednesday morning, according to Bay Area Rapid Transit.

BART service between Dublin/Pleasanton and West Dublin/Pleasanton was briefly halted due to police activity. Wheels provided bus service between the stations with bus 30 running every 15 minutes. Service between the stations has since resumed.

Earlier Wednesday, BART reported major delays for trains system-wide due to an equipment problem.

Transit officials announced the issue at 5:50 a.m. ahead of the Bay Area's heavy morning commute. The equipment problem is centered on the track between Lake Merritt and San Leandro, BART said.

“A/C Transit is providing bus service between West Oakland and Fruitvale on bus 62 and between 12th st. and Fruitvale on buses 51A and 19,” BART said in an update at 5:59 a.m.
