    KDOT crews set to replace guardrails on HWY 69 beginning July 22

    BOURBON COUNTY, Kan. (KOAM) -- The Kansas Department of Transportation is set to begin work on northbound lanes of U.S. 69 beginning July 22.

    According to KDOT, crews plan to replace guardrail on the northbound lanes of U.S. 69 in Bourbon and Linn counties. The 27-mile project will start at the south U.S. 69/U.S. 54 junction and will continue north to Pleasanton.

    KDOT says the speed limit will be reduced to 60 miles an hour in the work zone.

    The road work is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2024.
