Woman Assaulted During Movie Screening at Santikos Palladium in San Antonio, Police Seek Assailant
An unexpected act of violence disrupted what was meant to be a leisurely evening at the Santikos Palladium movie theater in San Antonio, where a woman endured a seemingly unprovoked physical attack. According to the San Antonio Police Department, the assault occurred around 7 p.m. on July 15, as reported by KSAT. The woman, situated for a night of cinema, noticed an individual at the back of the theater; moments later, that person moved to a seat directly behind her and violently pulled her hair and struck her multiple times on the head before fleeing via an emergency exit.
Greenway Construction to build another cold storage facility in Pharr Produce Park
PHARR, Texas – Construction is underway for yet another cold storage facility within the Pharr Produce Park. The latest project sees Greenway Construction building a 50,000 square foot warehouse for its sister company, LakeWay Produce. This is just the first phase. The second phase will see it expanded to 94,000 square feet.
Man gets 8 years in prison after pleading guilty to intoxication assault
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man accused of hurting a mother and her then-unborn child in a crash in January 2023 now has a sentence of 8 years in prison. Mark Walton pled guilty to intoxication assault in the case, and he will have to serve half of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
San Antonio Police Seek Leads in Unsolved Homicide of Daniella Chavez, $5,000 Reward Offered for Information
The San Antonio Police Department, in collaboration with Crime Stoppers, is actively seeking information from the public in connection with the homicide of a 30-year-old woman, Daniella Chavez. Chavez went missing from her residence in the 2600 block of Northeast Loop 410, on March 30, 2016, and, her tragic fate was not discovered until over three years later. It was on September 11, 2019, when hikers stumbled upon her remains, hidden amongst the brush in a greenbelt area near the 4000 block of Swans Landing. The nature of her death has led investigators to suspect foul play.

Residents and Ingleside businesses were asked to “Throw The Dirt On Us” and, boy, did they bring on the dirt. The Ingleside Garden Club received a total of more than $1,000 worth of potting soil as part of a fundraiser. The soil will be used for various projects the club is involved with to beautify the city. Cash donations were also given, which will be used to buy potting soil.
