A Massachusetts man has credited his staggering lottery prize to a dream he had before he bought his winning ticket.

Our dreams can show us all sorts of strange things but Howard Kendall Jr appeared to have an incredible premonition in his sleep that would see him become a millionaire. The lottery winner , from Plymouth, told the Massachusetts State Lottery that the night before his big win he'd dreamt that he'd bought a diamonds ticket.

The next day, Howard went and purchased a “$4,000,000 Diamonds” $10 instant ticket game. Low and behold his dream paid off - literally - and he won a $1million prize.

Howard chose to claim his prize in a one-time payment and walked away with $650,000 before taxes. He revealed he plans to use his newfound fortune to help out his children and grandkids.

The grandad bought his winning ticket at a 7-Eleven store on State Rd. in Plymouth. The store will also receive a $10,000 bonus for selling him the ticket.

In a different stroke of fate, another lottery winner bagged a $1.14million jackpot after taking advice from a store clerk and changing the game he plays. Jeremy H, from Pennsylvania, revealed he normally wouldn't have played Match 6, but the Rutter's employee's tip-off about frequent winners sparked his interest.

According to the Pennsylvania Lottery , Jeremy said, "I don't normally play Match 6, but the clerk at Rutter's told me they get a lot of winners, so for the past few months, I've been buying tickets once a week."

That change in strategy proved fruitful when Jeremy purchased the winning Match 6 Lotto ticket for the Saturday, May 20 drawing at the Rutter's located on West Main Street in Fawn Grove, York County. Jeremy initially forgot to check his ticket but luckily received a reminder about them.

"I left the ticket on my kitchen counter and forgot to check it," he admitted. "I got an alert on my phone that Monday from NewsBreak saying a winning ticket was sold at the Rutter's." He then checked his ticket and discovered his huge win.

Recalling the incredible moment, Jeremy shared: "I immediately called my brother and said, 'You will never believe this!' Then I called my other brother and then my wife. I never thought I would win anything like this in my life."
