The Three Rivers Park District Board of Commissioners has approved the draft updated long-range plan for Baker Park Reserve and authorized a 30-day public comment period for the plan. The long-range plan will inform future decisions related to recreation areas, the campground, golf course, trails and natural resources management.

The plan also fulfills the requirements within the Metropolitan Council’s Thrive MSP 2040 Regional Parks Policy Plan.

The long-range plan is available to download at Let’s Talk Three Rivers at letstalkthreerivers.org/baker-park-reserve-master-plan, and comments about the plan may be made through July 30.

Comments can be voiced on the website Let’s Talk Three Rivers, submitted by e-mail to Stephen.Shurson@ThreeRiversParks.org or mailed to Three Rivers Park District (3000 Xenium Lane N, Plymouth, MN 55441).

Printed copies of the plan are available at the Three Rivers Park District Administrative Center, 3000 Xenium Lane N, Plymouth; the Baker Park Reserve Campground Office; Baker National Golf Course; and the city halls of Independence, Maple Plain, Medina and Orono.
