PLYMOUTH, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man has turned himself in to police after charges were filed against him after police believe he plotted a murder-for-hire scheme in Luzerne County.

According to the Plymouth Borough Police, in January officers began investigating a possible murder-for-hire scheme by 29-year-old Dashawn Nelson of Kingston.

Investigation underway after man beaten, robbed in Wilkes-Barre

Police say Nelson got in contact with a person and offered to pay them $5,000 to shoot another man who resides in Wilkes-Barre.

Nelson has been charged with criminal solicitation and other related offenses.

Nelson turned himself in to the police earlier Wednesday.
