MARLINTON, W.Va. (WDTV) - A Pocahontas County man was arrested after chasing two people with bear spray and threatening a woman with a knife. Taylor Cook, 37, of Marlinton, was arrested Tuesday after deputies responded to two separate incidents - one at the Mini Park on First Avenue and another at the Greenbrier Grille in Marlinton.

Brandon Scott Davis, of Branchland and Pocahontas County, was born December 9, 1995 and passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at the age of 28 years, five months and 29 days. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 14, 2024, at noon, at Koontz Funeral Home in Hamlin with Bennie Dean officiating. Interment will be in Watson Cemetery in Branchland.
