Certain Residents Living Along Black Hawk Lake In Lake View Are Under Boil Advisory
Certain residents living along the south and east sides of Black Hawk Lake in Lake View have been placed in a boil advisory upon having their water returned. At 7:00 a.m. this (Saturday) morning, water to residents living at the intersection of East Shore Drive and Rolf Ave, west along South State Road to Gun Shot Hill, had water shut off while city crews came in to repair a water line, and will be placed in a boil advisory while water pressure returns. The advisory will remain in effect until Tuesday, when two test samples have returned with negative results for any contamination. Any water used for consumption must be boiled for at least two minutes, or use bottled water as an alternative. Water is still safe to use for laundry, showering, and basic cleaning.

Corn Is Randomly Growing In Iowa Town Hit By Deadly Tornado
Residents in the town of Greenfield, Iowa are still continuing to pick up the pieces after an EF4 tornado ripped through the center of town on May 21st, 2024. After completing damage assessments across Adams and Adair Counties, including Greenfield, the National Weather Service of Des Moines and survey teams said the damage was consistent with EF4 tornado damage. Wind speeds peaked between 175-185 mph. EF4 damage was located within the community of Greenfield and across rural portions of southern Adair County.
