Lornora Lundy
Lornora Alma Lundy, of Marlinton, went home to be with Jesus Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Lewis Gale Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. She was born April 25, 1956 in Oak Hill. She moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, as a child and was later employed by BIC Pen for more than 30 years. Lornora moved to Marlinton three years ago.
Jud Worth
Jud Worth passed away Sunday, December 5, at his home in Edray, after a short and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Jud was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and spent his childhood in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. After graduating from the University of North Carolina, he moved to West Virginia to begin life at Camp Minnehaha with his first child, Michael, in 1987. His family continued to grow, as well as his attachment to Pocahontas County. He was a licensed social worker and gave his life in service to others, ending his career as the nursing home administrator at Pocahontas Center where he cared for the staff and residents as if they were his family. He was devoted to the Pocahontas County Opera House Foundation and the West Virginia Scenic Trails Association.

Mac Jamison Dean, son of Hammer and Rebekah Dean, of Hillsboro, was stillborn Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Raleigh General Hospital. In addition to his parents, Mac is survived by sisters, Makayla Walton and husband, Jacob, of Frankford, and Addisyn Waddell, at home; brother, Tyler Dean, of Frankford; paternal grandparents, Deborah K. Witlock, and husband, Elwood, of Seebert, and Larry R. Dean, of Bruffey Creek; maternal grandparents, Charles and Jill Friel, of Marlinton; nephew, Mason Walton, of Frankford; uncles and aunts, Nick and Minnie Dean, of Cook Town, Rachel and Matthew Proffitt, of Summersville, and Kati Friel, of Charleston.

PCHS soccer ends season with winning records
The Pocahontas County High School soccer teams ended the season on a high note with the girls having a final record of 9-6 and the boys, 9-8.
