    AMERICAN LEGION ROUNDUP: Pocatello Runnin’ Rebels pick up two more wins at Elko Basque Tournament

    The Pocatello Post 4 Runnin’ Rebels AA team came away with two more wins at the Elko Basque Tournament Friday.

    The Runnin’ Rebels (16-7) logged a 6-3 victory against the Wooster Train Robbers 18U team before cruising to a 13-3, five-inning mercy rule win over the SC Snowcocks 17U team later in the day.

    Gunner Wilhem continued his recent hot streak with another three hits, including a double and drove in a run in the win over the Robbers. Colt Durham chipped in with a game-high three RBIs. James Costa threw a one-hitter with eight strikeouts on the mound.

    Wilhelm was then back at it again against the Snowcocks. He recorded three more hits, including a double, and a game-high four RBIs. Preston Foltz also had three hits, including a triple.

    Kache Stucki drove in three runs and Elias Blackhawk had not one, but two doubles.

    Daxton Poulson not only notched two hits, but the win on the bump. He allowed just two hits and fanned three batters.

    LOVELL MUSTANGS A 4, POCATELLO POST 4 RAZORBACKS A 3The Razorbacks (13-15) had a 3-2 lead going into the final inning.

    But the Mustangs were able to walk it off against them on a ground-ball error in a loss at the Knight Invite Friday.

    Daeton Poulson and Jaxton Humphries tallied two hits apiece in the loss. Both of Humphries’ hits came on doubles. He also drove in a pair of runs.

    Gavin Flynn had a solid outing on the bump by allowing just four hits and striking out five in four innings of work.

    SODA SPRINGS ALB DROP DOUBLEHEADER TO BURLEY GREEN SOX AKyen Kirby was the one player to register more than one hit with two in a 22-0, 21-6 doubleheader loss Friday.

    Neither game went more than five innings and Soda Springs (0-12) managed just six total hits on the day in what was its 12th loss in a row.

    Brodee Bingham and Owen Miller added one hit and one RBI apiece.
