    Wednesday, July 24

    The oldest consecutive rodeo in Idaho, the Bancroft Pioneer Day Rodeo, is set to take place on Wednesday, Jul 24. The rodeo — which takes place in the small Caribou County town of Bancroft — includes several different events and will be held at the Bancroft Rodeo Grounds.     Alive After Five will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Civitan Plaza in Idaho Falls. Two Bald Guys will be live on stage.

    Revive @ 5 takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays in the summer at Lookout Point in downtown Pocatello. There will be live music, food, cold beverages and fun for the entire family.

    Load ‘em in the Dark Cattle Company’s regular Wednesday night team roping from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Indoor Arena at the Bannock County Event Center in Pocatello. Admission is free.

    The Gate City Grays will host a game versus the Peaches at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Halliwell Park in Pocatello. Tickets are $5, and kids 8 and under get in free with an adult.

    Thursday, July 25

    The Yellowstone Restaurant, 230 W. Bonneville St. in Pocatello, hosts live jazz featuring Freddy Gildersleeve and rotating guests every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Y Lounge.

    Gracie Yates will perform at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 25, on the Frazier Hall lawn as part of the ISU summer concert series. Hailing from the heart of Kentucky, Gracie's music is a fusion of country, rock 'n' roll and folk, creating a sound that is undeniably unique. All are welcome to attend. Admission is free.

    The Rumble featuring Chief Joseph Boudreaux will perform at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at Victor City Park in Victor. Featuring six Grammy-nominated musicians, The Rumble is more than just a band — it's an opportunity to be immersed in a wholly unique facet of New Orleans culture.     Station Square, 200 S. Main St. in Pocatello, hosts open mic night every Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m.

    Country music superstar Clay Walker is bringing his chart-topping hits to Southeast Idaho at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at the Portneuf Health Trust Amphitheatre in Pocatello. Tickets can be purchased at bannockcountyeventcenter.us or at the box office before the show. Ticket prices range from $50 to $75 depending on seat selection and will raise in price $5 on the day of the event. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

    The Palace Theatre, 158 E. Chubbuck Road in Chubbuck, will put on a production of “The Little Mermaid the Musical” at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 25-26, at noon and 7 p.m. Saturday, July 27, and at 7 p.m. Monday, July 29. Tickets can be purchased at palacetheatrearts.com/littlemermaid.

    Friday, July 26

    Pocatello Downs horse racing is set for Friday, July 26. Gates open at 4 p.m., and the first post time is 5 p.m. Admission is $5, and children 12 and younger get in free. The Cool Car Meet and Greet Show is happening at the same time.

    “Civil War" will be shown at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 26, at ISU’s Bengal Theater. In a dystopian future America, a team of military-embedded journalists races against time to reach Washington, D.C., before rebel factions descend upon the White House. Admission is $3 for the public, $2 for ISU staff and free for ISU students with a valid Bengal ID.

    Rock Dee House Duelling Pianos will perform live at 7 p.m. Friday, July 26, at the Pocatello Elks Lodge, 410 S. Main St. Tickets are $22 and can be purchased at tinyurl.com/bdemfzz6.

    Museum of Idaho will host Museum After Dark: Downtown Scavenger Hunt from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 26. Race around downtown Idaho Falls by foot or scooter, solving puzzles for prizes. Drinks & hors d’oeuvres are included. Must be 21 or older to attend. Tickets are $31.25 and can be purchased at museumofidaho.org/event/hunt-24.

    Røki Kilroy is set to give a show at 8 p.m. Friday, July 26, at Dave's Pubb, 6290 N. Main St. in Tetonia. Carrying the listener on a roving, soulful journey, Røki Kilroy’s Americana songs paint a connection to the natural world, the magic and fickle, triumph and struggle.

    This week’s Chubbuck Movies in the Park features “Minions: Rise of Gru” sponsored by ICCU, at dusk Friday, July 26, at Stuart Park, 5161 Stuart Ave. Attendees are asked to come early and bring their own chairs and/or blankets. In case of inclement weather, movies will be rescheduled for the following Saturday at dusk. Admission is free.

    Shawn Barnby will perform live starting at 9 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at the First National Bar, 232 W. Center St. in Pocatello.

    Friday & Saturday, July 26-27

    Celebrate 20 years of “Napoleon Dynamite” with the 2024 Napoleon Fest taking place Friday and Saturday, July 26-27, at various locations in Preston. Some activities are free, such as the tot-eating contest and Preston High School tour, while others range from $5-$20.     Saturday, July 27

    All About the Animals Coalition will host a flash tattoo fundraiser from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at Valentine Tattoo, 707 N. Seventh Ave., Suite b, in Pocatello. Come into the studio to sign up for your tattoo or flash piercing, then come outside and check out the booths and vendors. A portion of the proceeds from the flash go toward spay and neuter costs, veterinary care and pet food for the coalition. There will be a pet adoption event from 2 to 4 p.m.

    The Pocatello Municipal Band will present the fifth concert of the 2024 season of Music in the Park at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 28, at Ross Park in the Guy Gates Memorial Band Shell.

    Monday, July 29

    The Pocatello Food Truck Round-Up is open from 4 to 8 p.m. every Monday at Lookout Point through September.

    The Art of Hoppiness will host paint night at 6 p.m. Monday, July 29, at Jim Dandy Brewing, 305 E. Lander St. in Pocatello. The cost is $35 and includes all the supplies. Register at theartofhoppiness.com/currentclasses.
