Third arrest made in 2023 Oklahoma murder

POCOLA, Okla. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said a third suspect has been arrested in connection to a February 2023 Pocola murder that left one dead, according to a social media post .

Tyriq Eastling, 23, was arrested in Michigan City, Indiana on July 24 by the US Marshals Service. He is charged with first-degree murder and was booked into La Porte County, Indiana.

Two others were arrested in February 2023 in connection to the murder.

Tavin Chambers and Rashawd Chambers were apprehended and charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit assault.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was assisting the Pocola Police Department with a February 21, 2023, murder that left Barry Lemont Richardson, 26, dead by an apparent gunshot wound.

Officers responded around 1:30 p.m. to a shooting near Butler Avenue and Clark Avenue in Pocola and found Richardson and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

He is being held in the La Porte County Detention Center without bond. Eastling is set to appear in court on August 8 at noon.
