Coroner names driver killed in wrong-way accident on Route 33

The decedent in a wrong-way accident on Route 33 in Hamilton Township that occurred over the weekend has been identified.

According to Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanac, 68-year-old Louisa Gonzalez-Hayes of Hamilton Township died as a result of the collision on Saturday evening.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, Gonzalez-Hayes was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of Route 33 and crashed into another vehicle at mile marker 27.7. Her car came to a final rest on top of the center median rail, and the other vehicle rested upside down on the right shoulder.

Gonzalez-Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene, and her dog died in the accident as well. No one else was in Gonzalez-Hayes' car.

The occupants of the other vehicle were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono.

I had to read the article a couple times until I understood but thank you to the person who said that there is a Hamilton township in Pennsylvania. The weirdest part is that they also have a route 33 in Hamilton township Pennsylvania.
