Toni Sherrell Contributor On Friday, June 28, Lafayette High School (LHS) sent 10 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members to Orlando, Fla., to compete in the FBLA National Leadership Conference. These 10 members competed in Middle-Level Business Ethics, Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure, Broadcast Journalism and Parliamentary Procedure. These students were a small part of the conference, as there were over 16,000 registered attendees. Saturday afternoon, June 29, marked the start of the competitions for LHS. Gatorland welcomes its first-ever red fox family, saved from a fur farm
Gatorland’s newest residents are a little less scaly than their peers. The 150-acre Orlando theme park and conservation hub rescued three red fox siblings through the third-party organization Save a Fox Rescue this week. Save a Fox took in the animals after buying out and closing down a fur farm housing 500 foxes.
