MASON COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On the afternoon of Sunday, June 2nd, 2024, authorities were called to 365 Burdette Addition Rd, Point Pleasant Mason County, WV, due to an active dispute.

Before their arrival, the male suspect, later identified as Gabe Loggins, had left the residence upon learning that law enforcement had been contacted.

According to the callers’ statements,  Loggins arrived at their residence, approached their gate, and began shaking it while threatening one person. Despite a victim’s repeated requests for Loggins to leave, he refused, prompting her to call 911; at this point, Loggins departed.

Upon reaching the 2200 block of Mount Vernon Avenue, Corporal J. A. Ferrell encountered Loggins, who had been stopped by the Point Pleasant Police Department. After questioning Loggins about the incident at the residence, he confessed to intending to confront a victim over a Facebook post. Subsequently, when Loggins became argumentative, Cpl. Ferrell instructed him to step out of the vehicle for detainment, which Loggins initially resisted but eventually complied.

During the encounter, Loggins was on Facetime with a friend and repeatedly disregarded orders to put his phone away, leading to his arrest for obstructing an officer. Additionally, a firearm, a Kimber .357 Magnum, was found in the passenger seat, which Loggins had in his possession during the altercation at Hill’s residence.

Loggins is charged with trespassing, obstructing, and assault.
