1 killed, 2 injured in Pointe Coupee Parish crash
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - One person is dead and two others are injured after a two-vehicle crash in Pointe Coupee Parish, according to officials. The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened on LA-1 in Lettsworth. Officials say one person was killed, while another adult and a child were both airlifted by Acadian helicopter to a hospital. Their condition is unknown.
Motorized parachute pilot forced to make emergency landing
MORGANZA — A quick storm forced a pilot inside a motorized parachute to make an emergency landing on Friday evening in Pointe Coupee Parish. Officials say a concerned citizen notified Officer J. Hanks with the Morganza Police Department as to what looked like a parachute making a landing around the spillway area around 5 p.m. on June 21.

Child Injured After Being Run Over By Boat on Popular Louisiana River
A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized over the weekend after suffering severe injuries from a boating accident on False River in Pointe Coupee Parish on Saturday afternoon. Around 4:15 pm on Saturday, June 15, the Pointe Coupee Sheriff's Office, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and Acadian Ambulance responded to the boating accident on the river.
