Alberson Earns First Lucas Oil Win in Photo Finish at Port Royal
Garrett Alberson achieved a milestone by securing his first Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory during a thrilling finish at Port Royal Speedway. The Las Cruces, New Mexico native outpaced Devin Moran by a mere 0.009 seconds after a late-race surge that saw him reclaim the lead heading into the final lap. This victory marks Alberson as the 92nd different winner in the series' history and the 14th of the 2024 season. Despite leading most of the race, Moran was unable to maintain his advantage, resulting in a bittersweet second-place finish.
Broncos sweep both ends of doubleheader to conclude the 16th annual NMMI Classic
