    Woman killed in Poland honored by residents

    POLAND, Ohio (WKBN) — Residents in Poland are paying respects to an elderly woman who died Sunday night after she was hit by a car while crossing the street.

    Flowers, balloons, and other tributes have been placed in the front yard of 87-year-old Rita Barbush who was hit by a driver traveling west on 224 near Diana Drive around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

    Barbush died at the scene.

    Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash remains under investigation.
