Idaho Residents Should Be Able to Stop Stores Closing in the Gem State
If you haven't heard by now, Golden Corral in the Magic Valley has closed. While it is sad to see a beloved and popular restaurant close, one of the bigger stories was how it closed. According to employees, there was no notice, as they showed up to find out they were out of a job. Not only were employees caught off guard, but so too were customers, many of which had gift cards, and coupons, and ate at the restaurant regularly. It has left many stunned and trying to figure out what happened and what could have gone differently. While the restaurant will be missed, could it have been saved if residents had a say and could stop the closure? Too many places have closed over the last few years and should a law be in place to allow residents to save certain restaurants, stores, and companies if someone is willing to invest in them or to stop them from closing suddenly?
