Polk, Trinity among counties affected in mass boil water notice

POLK COUNTY, Texas ( KETK ) – The Lake Livingston Water Supply Corporation said 44 Polk County and 16 Trinity County systems are under a boil water notice due to Beryl.

According to the water supplier, the following are under a boil water notice until repairs to a line break are complete and water is restored to full pressure:

Polk County

Pine shadows East Surface Plant, Pine Shadows, Blanchard Heights, Crescent Shores, Indian Hill Est, glen Cove, Indian hill Harbor, Indian hill Heights, Lakewood Polk, Pats Point, Kalita Point. Lakeshore 122, Dickens Landing, Lake Livingston Est 4 85, Reilys Landing, Bass Bay, Alabama Point, Forest Hills, Allenwood’s.

Twin Hills Cove, Indian Hill #2. Cotton Hill, foresters Retreat, Hickory Ridge, Indian hill Parksite, Jennings Cove, Oaks of Livingston, Nugent’s Cove, Bay Haven. Wiggins Village #1, Dickens Oaks West, Wiggins Village #2, Wiggins Ridge, Brentwood, Putnam’s Landing, Sandy Ridge, Harbor Lights, Sandy Greek, Sportsman Retreat, Wells Landing, Kickapoo, Branchwood, Wilson Lakes, Indian Springs.

Trinity County

Oakridge Ridge North Plant, Oakridge, Aztec Cove, Coby’s Marina, Deerwood, Galloway’s Marina, Jungle Village, Lakewood Trinity, Timber Bay. Timber Cove Trinity, White Rock Paradise Acres, Hawg Heaven, Garden Villa, Emerald Bay, Leisure Wood, Onalaska Meadows.

Customers are urged to boil water before consuming it, washing their hands or face and brushing their teeth to ensure the destruction of harmful bacteria and other microbes. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two additional minutes.

People are also encouraged to purchase bottle water or obtain water from another source. When the notice is rescinded, the public water system officials will notify customers, a release said.
