A week after its grand opening, Omaha’s WarHorse Casino closes temporarily
WarHorse Gaming said Thursday evening that their Omaha casino would be closed temporarily because the air-conditioning system was damaged during construction. “No one was injured, and there was never any danger to our guests or employees,” Lance Morgan, president and CEO of Ho-Chunk Inc., WarHorse Gaming’s parent company, said in a news release. “Unfortunately, we need to temporarily close the casino to prevent damage to some of the electronic equipment in the facility.”

NSP Launches Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign

Man arrested after leading York deputy on chase with two children in vehicle
YORK, Neb. (KOLN) - A York man accused of leading a deputy on a chase with two children inside his SUV appeared in court Monday. Randy Kermoade, 36, pled not guilty to six charges: two counts of child abuse, operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, no proof of insurance, willful reckless driving and driving under suspension. He posted bail, which was set at 10% of $10,000 and he is scheduled to be back in court on Oct. 29.
