Star Wars Rise of The Resistance

Found in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, Rise of the Resistance is a larger-than-life ride combining a pre-show experience with a trackless dark ride featuring all your favorite Star Wars characters as you join the rebels and try to outrun the First Order. Currently operating by boarding pass system only, your ability to get a pass for Rise of the Resistance is dependent on waking up early, having a fast phone, and resisting rope dropping any other ride.

We love Woody's Lunch Box for a hearty breakfast that is budget-friendly. Or you can grab one of those delicious homemade lunch box tarts, offered in different flavor combinations seasonally. And if you're stuck on what to have for lunch, the grilled cheese and tomato soup here always hits the spot.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

On a hot day in Florida, we love the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. Nothing compares to a classic burger, fries, and a milkshake. Served while you hang out in a classic car and watch old black and white shorts in a makeshift drive-in setting. We love this restaurant for families.

Hollywood Studios' newest ride is the first to feature Mickey and Minnie! This 2-D ride features sounds from the original Steamboat Willie whistle and all our favorite scenes and songs from the newest Emmy-award-winning Mickey Mouse shorts. This is a Tier 1 ride at Hollywood Studios, so plan to grab a FastPass or arrive when the gates open so you have a chance to ride without super long lines.

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-A-Long

Think you've heard "Let it Go" one too many times? Think again. This show offers a nice respite from the Florida weather, slapstick comedy at its best, and a re-telling of your favorite story by people who know how to tell it. This Disney show experience gets a Holiday overlay too, so if you're visiting during Christmas, be sure to stop by!

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

This classic Star Wars ride now features multiple storylines, so you never know what's going to happen each time you ride. We definitely suggest getting a FastPass for this ride, as it's still very popular. And dare we say, we like it better than Smugglers Run!

Slinky the Dog Rollercoaster at Night

If you're working to get your Rise of the Resistance boarding pass in the morning, you won't be able to rope drop Slinky Dog. So why not try for a nighttime ride instead. With stringed lights all over Toy Story Land, you can count on amazing views at night and this coaster literally lights up in the darkness. Lines will still be a little long but usually get shorter after 8 pm. And if you're hanging out waiting for lower crowds, head to Toy Story Mania, one of our favorite rides in Toy Story Land.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

The Tower of Terror is Hollywood Studio's most famous ride. Even if you don't love the feeling of being dropped in an elevator, the storyline for this classic attraction is worth the visit. And we love the Hollywood Tower Hotel merchandise too, so be sure to check out this gift shop. And the specialty coffees at the Joffrey's stand nearby.

Star Wars a Galactic Spectacular

If staying till park closing you'll be able to see Star Wars a Galactic Spectacular fireworks and a digital laser show. Perfect for Star Wars fans, this evening show is a culmination of Star Wars stories, music, and lights. If Star Wars isn't your thing, you can head to Hollywood Studios' classic evening show, Fantasmic. Be sure to grab the popcorn, no matter which shows you attend. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!

While this show at Hollywood Studios is temporarily available, we have high hopes of its return. Featuring stunt actors, this experience shows you what it's really like on the set of a big movie. Complete with explosions, fight scenes, and more! We love that this experience pulls in guests from the crowd, and offers a little respite from the Florida heat.
