Runnin' Rebels' season comes to an end after going two-and-out at Northwest regional tournament
It wasn’t the showing that the Pocatello Post 4 Runnin’ Rebels were hoping for. They went two-and-out at last week’s American Legion Northwest Regional Tournament in Billings, Montana. Pocatello fell 8-5 to Alaska Wednesday before getting shutout 8-0 to the eventual regional champion Montana the following day Thursday. Semi carrying manure catches fire after being hit by semi carrying molasses
JEROME COUNTY — Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. A 26-year-old male from Wendell and a juvenile passenger were traveling in a 1998 Freightliner semi-truck loaded with manure, eastbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 180. A 49-year-old male from Clovis, California, traveling in a 2013 Freightliner semi-truck, struck the rear of the 1998 Freightliner.
The Great Snake River Greenbelt Duck Race quacks back to Idaho Falls
On Saturday, August 10, the Idaho Falls Rotary Club will host its 33rd annual Great Snake River Greenbelt Duck Race. The rubber ducks will drop at 4 p.m. with a day full of activities starting at 10 a.m. According to the Duck Race website, those activities include boat racing, a muscle man and woman semi-truck pull and truck, motorcycle and off-road shows.

It has been found that two people in Washington drank raw milk from Jim’s Jerseys before becoming infected with Campylobacter jejuni. The patients became ill in July after drinking the unpasteurized milk produced by Old Silvana Creamery located in Arlington, WA, according to the Washington State Department of Health.

The State of Washington has a mandatory Statewide Burn Ban in effect. A burn ban remains in effect for all state lands across Washington.
