Public invited to Jones Co. founding documents ceremony September 9th
TRENTON, N.C. (WITN) - One county in the east is holding a dedication ceremony installing American history documents. On September 9th, a public ceremony will be held in Trenton dedicating the 61st Charters for Freedom location. Charters for Freedom are pedestals holding copies of the Declaration of Independence, United States Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Civil Rights Amendments behind glass.

Town of Maysville Expands Downtown Redevelopment Project with Additional Funding and Construction has Begun. Maysville, NC – The Town of Maysville is pleased to announce an expansion of its downtown redevelopment project with an additional $87,500 in grant funding from the Rural Economic Development Grant. This brings the total funding for the project to $937,500. The Town has acquired the properties at 502-508 Main Street and will use these funds, along with additional contributions from the Town, to ensure the successful completion of this transformative initiative.
