One person dead in crash on Highway 2 W, in Kalispell
KALISPELL, Mont. - Police are investigating a fatal crash in the 1100 block of Highway 2 West in Kalispell Wednesday. The Kalispell Police Department said in a press release the crash happened at around 11:17 a.m. One person died of their injuries. No identities have been released at this time.

The officer observed the light turn yellow as the Jeep continued to approach the intersection without slowing down. The officer observed the stoplight turn red before the Jeep entered the intersection.
Former Montana State Prison officer admits to distributing dangerous drugs
ANACONDA, Mont. — An Anaconda man admits to distributing dangerous drugs while he was a sergeant at the Montana State Prison. Scott Patrick Elliott pleaded guilty in Anaconda-Deer Lodge district court on Wednesday morning to one felony count of criminal distribution of dangerous drugs, admitting that he provided marijuana to others in 2022 and 2023.
