NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Connecticut’s Morning Buzz Guest Host Laura Hutchinson recently met with Colin Caplan, founder of Taste of New Haven, to discuss the latest in the world of pizza. Caplan, a well-known, local ‘pizza guru,’ shared exciting news about the grand opening of Ozzy’s Apizza, a New Haven-style pizzeria coming to East Rock Market, in New Haven. “Ozzy’s Apizza is returning home from LA and will open on August 2nd. It’s going to be a standout in the East Rock Market on Nichols St.,” Caplan announced.

Oxford Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Drug Distribution
BOSTON – A local man was sentenced in federal court in Boston on Thursday, after pleading guilty to drug charges. According to federal prosecutors, Chaasad Cyprien, 24, of Oxford, received a sentence of two years in prison and three years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine, in April.

Three people believed to be part of a large-scale theft ring have been arrested for alleged crimes in Massachusetts. According to police, on Thursday, July 11, Braintree Police Detectives arrested three individuals on various charges in connection with a conspiracy to commit residential burglaries. The suspects appear to be connected to an organized International Theft Group. Also known as South American Theft Groups, these groups are known to use extensive surveillance, GPS technology, surreptitious video feeds, and counter- surveillance to establish patterns of behavior for their prospective victims.
