Syracuse Football Targets 4-Star CB Julian Peterson from NJ
Syracuse football is making an impression early in the recruitment of 2026 four-star cornerback Julian Peterson from New Jersey. As highlighted by Rivals.com analyst Adam Gorney, Syracuse joins Penn State, Pitt, and Georgia as top contenders for Peterson, who is still finalizing his visit schedule. The Orange extended a scholarship offer to him in late July. Peterson, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 175 pounds, plays multiple positions and remains a prominent recruit for Syracuse, given the coaching staff's New Jersey connections. Currently, Syracuse has one verbal commitment in its 2026 class from four-star running back D'Antae Sheffey.

Second phase of Adirondack Rail Trail completed, opened ahead of schedule Aug. 26
Recreational trail in the heart of the Adirondacks now open from Lake Placid to Floodwood Road, final section of rail trail remains closed for construction. On Aug. 26, Governor Kathy Hochul announced the completion of construction and the ahead-of-schedule opening of the second phase of the Adirondack Rail Trail from Saranac Lake to Floodwood Road.
