CN targets addiction with $25 million treatment center
PARK HILL – To help Cherokees struggling with addiction, the tribe is building an alcohol and drug treatment center for adults just outside of Tahlequah. According to the CN, the 19,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility will provide Cherokees with “comprehensive and culturally based” treatment services for addiction via group and individual counseling, peer support services, care management, Cherokee cultural activities and more.
