Oklahoma authorities seize over 5,000 marijuana plants in Kingston raid
KINGSTON, Oklahoma — Authorities seized thousands of marijuana plants and processed marijuana during a raid on an unregistered grow operation in Kingston.On Friday, July 19, 2024, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics' (OBN) Marijuana Enforcement Teams (MET) executed a search warrant at 17368 Fobb Bottom Road. The operation resulted in the seizure of 5,212 marijuana plants and 178 pounds of processed marijuana, according to a press release from the OBN. Arrests are pending.The OBN MET was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff's Office and the Chickasaw Nation Light Horse Police Department.

Warrant issued for woman accused of exploiting elderly woman out of nearly $52,000
NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Tammy Dene Jones, 51, Enid, by the Kay County District Court. Jones is facing felony counts of exploitation of elderly and or disabled adult by deception and intimidation and computer fraud and or unlawful use of a computer system. Ponca City police report that Jones is accused of fraudulently obtaining $51,877.94 from a senior citizen.
