We are just days away from the special offering Sunday to raise monies to build a giant cross for Pontotoc County. Spearheading the effort is former chancer court clerk Reggie Collums. “Now I am not saying the cross itself will save a soul, but Jesus does and the cross is a reminder of what He did. He gave all.”
County wide church service set tonight at the fair
Family night at the fair is tonight, Wednesday, June 26. All churches are asked to dismiss their services and let this be a county wide worship service at the Pontotoc County Agri-Center at 6:30. Admission is a canned good for the food pantry.
Supervisors approve new records system purchase
The Pontotoc county board is supervisors has approved for the purchase of a new county land records system due to termination of the old system carrier. “We have to get a new system,” said Deputy Clerk Angie Shettles. “The old one is outdated as far as hardware is concerned and the software is 20 years old and no longer maintainable.”
