Novotney: Gov. Jim Justice Should Honor Deal to Demo Bellaire Bridge
It was a done deal, or so they thought in Benwood. As Benwood’s public works director David McLaughlin explained recently on River Talk radio, he and Police Chief Frank Longwell attended a meeting back in late winter 2023 during which a $3 million deal was struck with the Governor’s Office. The money was to come out of the Governor’s contingency fund, and finally, the people of Benwood would be rid of the nightmare that’s haunted them for decades.

Scattered storms and seasonable temperatures stick through the week
WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Good evening folks, and happy Monday to you. As of 4:30 pm this afternoon, we are looking at scattered showers and storms across the region. While most of these storms will not become severe strength, they will be capable to produce flash flooding conditions now through Friday. WVU fall camp preview: Receivers
It's about that time again, which is crazy because it feels like just yesterday I was writing the spring camp previews. Back then, football preparation was taking a backseat to the pending basketball coaching search. This time around, fall camp will be in the spotlight of the WVU sports world. Today we continue the position-by-position preview for preseason camp. The Mountaineers went 9-4 last season, including beating up on UNC in a bowl game that ended with Neal Brown being covered in mayonnaise. West Virginia football enters the 2024 season with significant wind in its sails, so fall camp should be particularly interesting to watch next month. At this current time, there is no media access schedule.
