Kim Kardashian Eyed as Vanna White's Eventual 'Wheel of Fortune' Replacement, Report Says

Kim Kardashian could have a big "fortune" in her future. A new report indicates that the beauty mogul is being eyed as Vanna White 's eventual replacement at Wheel of Fortune , where she has been the iconic letter-turner since 1982.

Life & Style reports that sources close to the show have claimed that 67-year-old White and 49-year-old Ryan Seacrest , who recently took over hosting duties from longtime host Pat Sajak , are having trouble with chemistry . The sources say that producers are interested in Kardashian as a replacement if Vanna chooses to leave.

"They've compiled a list of folks to replace Vanna, and Kim Kardashian is at the top," an insider said. "Kim is a very close friend of Ryan's and would bring a whole new audience. Ryan wants to make the show younger and sexier. He's responsible for the Kardashian reality show and believes in that family more than anyone!"

"After Pat quit, Vanna was optimistic about working with Ryan, but they have zero chemistry and no vibe," an insider added. "Plus, she could be his mother!"

Sources say that no formal offer has been made at this time, but insiders close to Kardashian have suggested that taking over the position is something she might consider very seriously.

In a written statement shared on Monday, June 12, 2023, Sajak revealed that Wheel of Fortune Season 41 would be his last . "Well, the time has come. I've decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last," he wrote. "It's been a wonderful ride, and I'll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it'll keep the clickbait sites busy!)"

It was later revealed that Seacrest would take over as Wheel of Fortune host, following Sajack's exit. Speaking out about the big news, Seacrest wrote in his first statement, "I'm truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak. I can say, along with the rest of America, that it's been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them."

Seacrest continued, "Pat, I love the way you've always celebrated the contestants and made viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition. Many people probably don't know this but one of my first jobs was hosting a little game show called Click for Merv Griffin 25 years ago so this is truly a full circle moment for me and I'm grateful to Sony for the opportunity. I can't wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White."

Variety reported that, while he will no longer be the face of the iconic game show, Sajak will continue as a consultant for three years following his hosting retirement, per Sony TV.
