The Bay Area Community Foundation (BACF) in Bay City, Michigan, serves as a catalyst for charitable giving in Bay and Arenac counties. The foundation offers several opportunities for funding, including projects centered around the arts, education, environment, health, human services, recreation, or community initiatives. In particular, proposals are being accepted for projects addressing needs related to the environment in Bay County and the Saginaw Bay Watershed through the Environment and Saginaw Bay Watershed Restoration funds, youth-related needs through the Youth Advisory Endowment Fund, and projects specifically benefiting children or adults with cognitive or physical disabilities in Bay County through the Leslie L. Squires Foundation. On average, grant awards range from $1,000 to $5,000.
