Report: Tampa General Hospital ranked one of Florida's best
TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa General Hospital was ranked one of the best hospitals in the state in a report, moving up a few spots from last year. U.S. News and World Report evaluated the 258 hospitals in the state with the Tampa hospital coming in at No. 2. Tampa General was also nationally ranked in eight medical specialties.
Charlotte County Sheriff investigating shooting incident
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (WWSB) - Shortly after midnight Monday, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office was called out to a report of a shooting at a home in Port Charlotte. UPDATE: “Through the investigation, including statements and evidence found at the scene, the incident appears to have been an accidental discharge where two subjects were struck by fragmentations and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.” according to the CCSO.
