The Port Clinton Artists’ Club announced a new initiative led by its Philanthropy Committee, headed by Michelle Gregorek.

This committee aims to give back to the community through public, creative projects. One such endeavor involved painting the Jersey barriers in The District on Madison Street.

Gregorek collaborated with the city and the Chamber of Commerce/Main Street Port Clinton to bring this colorful vision to life. The project had participation from club members ages 12 to 84.

Designs approved by Main Street Port Clinton were brought to life by artists Rebecca Booth, Marsha Gray Carrington, Lia Casados, Diane Chaplin, Monette Garn, Alice Holly, Jeanne Morgan and Patty Wildman.

A ceremonial ribbon-cutting open to the public will take place July 11 at 3 p.m.
