Mayor issues mandatory evacuation order for visitors
At 2 p.m. today, Saturday, July 6, Mayor Wendy Moore issued a mandatory evacuation order for all visitors to evacuate Port Aransas by noon Sunday, July 7. The order excludes Port Aransas residents and property owners. While the deadline is Sunday, visitors are encouraged to leave today in preparation for Tropical Storm Beryl to make landfall in the area as a hurricane.
