Joe Gentile started working with his dad at his small farm stand at age 7 in Broomall 1954. It soon became known as 'Gentile's Market' and moved to its current location in Newtown Square in the early 1970s.70 years later, the Army veteran and cancer survivor still loves his job and has no plans to retire.Joe, along with his parents and 8 siblings, all worked at the market in some capacity over the many decades. Two arrested in Milford following traffic stop
MILFORD, Del. – Two people were arrested early Sunday morning following a traffic stop for speeding. An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle at around 2:30 a.m., in the area of SE Front Street and Marshall Street, after it was seen driving at a high rate of speed. The officer reportedly noticed signs of impairment in the driver, identified as 23-year-old Sergio Gomez-Gonzalez. Gomez-Gonzalez allegedly refused to complete the standard sobriety field tests and resisted arrest, but was taken into custody. The passenger, identified as 22-year-old Brayan Ramirez-Ramirez, reportedly began interfering with officers’ attempts to arrest Gomez-Gonzalez. Officers subsequently tried to arrest Ramirez-Ramirez, but he resisted arrest and ultimately caused minor injury to two officers before being taken into custody.
UPDATED: 2 Dead After Auto Crashes into Home and Bursts into Flames
UPDATED – 10:50am – A crash just before 11:30 on Gills Neck Road near Lewes has left two people dead. Delaware State Police say the driver of a BMW was traveling at an apparent high rate of speed, went off the roadway in a curve and struck a wall, tree and metal fence and caught fire. The fire spread to a residence causing extensive damage. No one in the home was injured. The driver of the BMW and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is on-going.
Three Juveniles Arrested in Reckless Endangering Incidents in Milford
MILFORD, DE - Milford Police Department arrested three juveniles for reckless endangering and other charges after water pellet shootings. Milford Police say on July 12th, between 10pm and 11pm, the department's Patrol Division responded to three separate incidents throughout the city of Milford where people reported being shot with a hard object from a passing silver sedan. MPD describe this object as a pellet.
