Hearing for Waynesboro murder suspect continued until September
WAYNESBORO, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Waynesboro man charged in a fatal shooting last Tuesday morning will remain behind bars at least until his next court hearing. Jacob Preston Sipe faces two charges, including second-degree murder, in connection with the death of 33-year-old Trevor Hill of Waynesboro, who was found dead on the front porch of a home in the 400 block of James Avenue. A bond hearing scheduled for Thursday in Waynesboro General District Court was continued until September 10. Sipe, who was injured in the incident, was arrested and charged with two felonies, including second-degree murder, once he was released from Augusta Health. He is currently in Middle River Regional Jail.
CVEC, Firefly honor long-time board member
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC) and its subsidiary, Firefly Fiber Broadband, honored Henry Chiles, their longest-serving board member, for his 46 years of service to the Board of Directors.
