Former art gallery being considered for apartments, co-work space and restaurant
Multi-use buildout could take two years; developer may close in September. LURAY, July 25 — A Washington, D.C.-based developer executed a contract on June 10 for the right to purchase the three-story, brick structure at 15 Campbell Ave., formally the site of a local art gallery for more than two decades. A 90-day “study period” will be ending shortly after Labor Day. If plans proceed, the building’s nearly 34,000 square feet will be renovated and converted to apartments, co-work space, a restaurant, gym and music venue, according to plans presented to the Luray Council during its work session on Monday.
