ALERT: Massive Deli Meat Recall Affects Shoppers in Michigan
Is it just me or does it seem like every food item in the grocery store is being recalled-- and it's all for the same reason!. Given the state of the economy, the housing market, unemployment rates, why wouldn't our food safety be at stake too? Just one more thing to worry about.

A recent change to Michigan’s sick leave laws is being dubbed “anti-worker” by small business leaders who say the new mandate offers less flexibility to workers looking to take paid time off and forces employers to scrutinize their employees’ paid leave. The Michigan Supreme Court on...

However, I can officially clear a space for another random fact. While listening to the Smartless podcast, their most recent guest was Mike Tirico, who revealed that he and his family have resided in Ann Arbor, Michigan, since around 2000.

With a big night behind him and an even bigger day ahead, Joe Schaldenbrand had just started inhaling what needed to be a quick breakfast when I interrupted him to ask a question. But the Sunsation Boats president welcomed the interruption. Mekhi Wingo making a name for himself in Lions camp with his grit factor
The word “Grit” is something of a catchphrase for the Dan Campbell edition of the Detroit Lions. Campbell himself frequently dons a hat emblazoned with grit in all caps. It’s more than a slogan. It’s a mindset that is required to become a successful member of these Detroit Lions. That grit is something that was easy to spot in Detroit’s sixth-round draft pick, defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo from LSU. Wingo certainly checked that grit box. Wingo’s choice to play in LSU’s bowl game despite missing the end of the Tigers season with an injury is grit epitomized. “It’s a mindset that was instilled...
