One dead, seven injured in crash near Lame Deer Friday afternoon
BIG HORN COUNTY, Mont. - One driver is dead in a two-car crash that left seven other people injured on Highway 212 just after 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26. A report from Montana Highway Patrol with Northern Cheyenne BIA investigating states the 21-year-old male driver of a Hyundai Sonata heading east started to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone when it hit a Jeep Grand Cherokee head-on, causing the Jeep to roll, land its roof, and catch on fire.
Fargo Airsho begins with Saturday and Sunday viewings
FARGO, ND — The high-flying action of the Fargo Airsho continues this weekend. Event officials say the annual show that features demonstrations from some of the U.S. military’s top pilots happens today and tomorrow at Hector International Airport. The highlight of the show is the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels. Gates to the show open at 9 a.m. each day, and begins at 11 a.m.

Morton County Officials Deny Permit For CO2-Capture Project Near Danzig Dam
(Morton County, ND) — The Morton County Zoning and Planning Commission is denying a special-use permit for a proposed direct carbon-capture project near New Salem’s Danzig Dam. County sources say local commissioners referenced road infrastructure, noise and water supply in denying the permit. Had it been approved, the Retract LLC project would have encompassed fans and a natural-gas generator deployed on 87 acres of the nearly 25 hundred acres the company has under lease. The project reportedly would have drawn carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere, rather than from other carbon-capture facilities that derive CO2 from power plants or other facilities.
