Eastern New Mexico renaming football stadium and basketball arena

PORTALES, N.M. (KRQE) – The Eastern New Mexico football stadium and basketball arena officially have new names. The football stadium will be renamed to the Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium and the basketball arena will be renamed to the Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena.

Loy was a graduate of ENMU and was the 1973 captain of the football team, a member of the golf team and an inductee into ENMU’s Athletics Hall of Honors. The grounds will feature new monuments dedicated to sports heroes of ENMU. A dedication ceremony is scheduled for the October 19, game against West Texas A&M.
