35th and final Cloukey Charity Challenge raises record total for Special Olympics
The 35th and final Cloukey Charity Challenge was one for the record books. Golfers came out in record numbers at both Mars Hill County Club on Saturday and Long Lake Country Club on Sunday. Over 100 golfers teed off each day in the event and both courses were in excellent shape. Numerous friends and former co-workers of mine showed up to take part in the final tournament. So many friends have been made over the last 35 years.
Maine Baseball Exhibit open in old Hampden Academy
HAMPDEN, Maine (WABI) - Hampden Academy baseball coach Jon Perry has turned two rooms of the old school building into the Maine Baseball Exhibit. “My interest in baseball and sports memorabilia has been for a long, long time. I said the space here can be zeroed in on Maine baseball history because I do have a lot of artifacts of Maine,” said Perry, Maine Baseball Exhibit creator.
