National Democratic group focusing on two Oklahoma legislative races this fall
A national organization, charged with electing Democratic lawmakers to state legislatures, announced it was spotlighting two Oklahoma races this year. The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee said it was targeting Erin Brewer in Senate District 47 and Chaunté Gilmore in House District 100. "These strong Democratic candidates provide opportunities to flip competitive seats and combat the GOP majorities in the House and Senate," the organization said in a media statement.

Pennrose, Tulsa Housing Authority to Develop $190 Million Mixed-Income Project in Tulsa, Oklahoma
TULSA, OKLA. — A public-private partnership consisting of Pennrose and the Tulsa Housing Authority will develop 36N, a $190 million mixed-income project in Tulsa. The partnership will redevelop the existing property at the site, a 271-unit community called Comanche Park Apartments, and construct an additional 274 units from the ground up. Once completed, 36N will comprise 545 apartments. The development is part of a larger revitalization initiative known as Envision Comanche.
Woman arrested on numerous charges following dangerous chase in Broken Arrow
A Tulsa woman was arrested on numerous charge after allegedly leading police on a dangerous car chase through Broken Arrow Monday. Ashley Marie Aguilar was arrested shortly after 5:30 p.m. and booked at the Tulsa County Jail on charges of driving while intoxicated, fleeing and eluding (endangering others), malicious damage to property, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, assault with dangerous weapon and registration and proof of insurance violations. Aguilar has a court date of July 22.

Driver Arrested After Breaching Tinker Air Force Base Gate, Installation Says
A driver was able to breach Tinker Air Force Base on Tuesday after crashing their vehicle into one of the base's entrances, officials say. Officials at the base said at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, a driver breached the Hruskocy Gate, which leads into the base from Interstate 40 via Industrial Boulevard at Tinker Air Force Base.

Three new assistant principals hired at Po-Hi
PONCA CITY — Clark Crawford, Kaitlyn Pressnall and Kimberly Stafford are joining the Ponca City Schools District as assistant principals at Ponca City High School. Crawford is a graduate of Kingfisher High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Central Oklahoma and his master’s degree at East Central University in Ada. He worked as assistant principal and summer school principal at Yukon Public Schools. Prior to that he was a teacher and team leader at Choctaw/Nicoma Park Schools in Choctaw.

Barnsdall Public Works Authority Gets Helpful Grant
The Oklahoma Water Resources Board has given the Barnsdall Public Works Authority two million dollars in funding to improve the Waxhoma Dam. The Authority owns and operates that dam, which maintains Lake Waxhoma. Potable water is also serviced to just over 500 customers and Osage County Rural Water District Number 5. State Senator Bill Coleman and State Representative Judd Strom played a major role in getting this funding and Water Resource Board Executive Director Julie Cunningham had this to say on the aid:
