Deputy rescues driver from submerged vehicle in Humble
HUMBLE, Texas — A Harris County Sheriff's Office deputy rescued a driver from a submerged vehicle following a crash in Humble.Deputy D. Hess responded to a vehicle crash at Canyon Lakes Trace at Wilson Road and found a vehicle submerged in water. Hess entered the water, cut the seatbelt of the driver, and pulled him to safety. The driver appeared lifeless, prompting Hess to administer CPR. The driver was transported with CPR in progress by EMS, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.Deputy Hess did not sustain any injuries during the rescue. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez praised the deputy's actions.
