Proposed Texas LNG terminals held up in court
Two major energy projects planned for the Rio Grande Valley suffered setbacks last week. Rio Grande LNG and Texas LNG are liquefied natural gas terminals set to be built at the Port of Brownsville. Local groups have raised concerns about the terminal’s effect on air and water quality. Last week, a three-judge panel in Washington found that the companies behind the terminals didn’t adequately consider their environmental impact.
