A Portland man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly threatened his former partner and a member of the judiciary.

Daryl Walsh, 39, was charged with terrorizing, criminal use of explosives and violation of a protection order, according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.

Police executed a search warrant about 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Walsh’s Runnels Street home. That came after police learned that Walsh allegedly had threatened his former partner and a member of the judiciary and was constructing a bomb.

Walsh was arrested after negotiators convinced him to leave his apartment, where Nadeau said evidence was found supporting “the concern” about bomb making.

He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail in Portland.

Nadeau said no additional information is being released because of the ongoing investigation.
