Man charged in Reutter Park murder in Lansing takes plea deal
LANSING — One of two men charged in the fatal shooting of Lewis Hill in Reutter Park last year entered no-contest pleas on Wednesday, but his co-defendant is proceeding toward trial. Lansing’s infamous Pennsylvania Avenue bridge gets new bling
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The infamous Pennsylvania Avenue bridge, “Big Penny,” in Lansing, has some new bling. A group called Stupid Lansing took credit for some signs put up Wednesday night by Big Penny. The signs read “Trucks munched,” with 17 this year and 70 since 2004. A video on their Facebook page showed a concrete truck smacking the bridge on Aug. 15, hence the sign update.
Lansing man convicted of modifying pistol with illegal 'Glock switch'
GRAND RAPIDS – A Lansing man was convicted this week on charges that he had an illegal "machine gun," the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Thursday. Valentino Wallace, 22, of Lansing, was charged in federal court with possessing the automatic firearm. Online court records indicate the trial began in late July and concluded this week. Records do not indicate when Wallace will be sentenced, but show Wallace has been held in detention since July 2023. ...
