KATU News was told by ODOT that they expected the highway to be closed for "an extended period of time."The crash happened near the Sunset Rest Area on Highway 26, about halfway between Seaside and Banks. ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES BELOW:Highway 26 is closed at milepost 30 for a multiple-vehicle crash. ODOT tells KATU that the highway will likely be closed for an extended period. Metro West Ambulance says in a tweet that they have two ambulances working the crash along with the Banks Fire Department. Metro West says there are multiple patients involved. LifeFlight has also been dispatched. The weather in the Coast Range has been tricky all weekend. Snow has fallen to 1000 feet and it is not known if weather played a role in this crash. ODOT is advising all motorists to use a detour. Drivers headed to the Oregon coast can use Highway 6 going to Tillamook or Highway 47 to Vernonia or Highway 30 to Astoria.</div></body>
